HOMMAGE - Aux yeux de tous, Philip Seymour Hoffman, détenteur d'un Oscar, était un grand acteur. Surtout pour les acteurs de cinéma qui ont multiplié les tweets élogieux depuis l'annonce de son décès.
Depuis l'annonce de son décès hier, Philip Seymour Hoffman continue d'être pleuré. Sur les réseaux sociaux, les twittos ont salué son talent et son aura . Parmi eux figurent de nombreuses stars du métier qui n'ont pas hésité à lui rendre un hommage. Zach Braff, le réalisateur du cultissime Garden State , et Ricky Gervais ont célébré le défunt avec quasiment les mêmes mots : "Philip Seymour Hoffman était l'un des meilleurs acteurs de l'histoire". Alors que Jim Carrey parle d'une "très belle âme", l'actrice et chanteuse Anna Kendrick fait part de sa tristesse qu'elle qualifie d'"insupportable".
Insupportable. Ce mot revient également dans le tweet du britannique Tom Hiddleston, tout aussi secoué. Elijah Wood estime son "cœur brisé", évoquant "une grande perte". Jeff Bridges, qui a déjà croisé son chemin grâce aux frères Coen, ne cache pas son émotion sur sa page Facebook : "Je suis tellement choqué. J'ai adoré travailler avec lui dans The Big Lebowski. C'était un homme formidable, tellement talentueux, un vrai trésor".
Un acteur respecté
Une chose est claire : toutes les générations d'acteurs ont salué la mémoire d'un acteur de talent, que beaucoup voient comme une véritable source d'inspiration artistique.
